Does anyone actually read the bloody article before posting down here?

I mean, the article isn’t about “Is God Dead?” It’s about whether or not the New York Times said God is dead as mentioned in Elton John’s song “Levon.”

And, as the author of this article states:
So yes, technically, the phrase “God is Dead” DID make the cover of the New York Times, so I guess it’s a fair enough thing for Elton John’s song to say that the Times said “God is Dead,” in a roundabout way.

As for whether or not God is dead, alive in our lives, never existed, set the universe spinning and wandered off, or any other theory regarding the Divine, why are you debating it here on a pop culture website? Go hug a loved one, people. Life’s too short.

To the people who think God is dead or doesn’t exist,
Judaism is the oldest faith on the planet and then there’s Christianity. For a person to say “God is dead” or that He doesn’t exist, is in the first place in my opinion presumptuous. What makes you so wise as to decide that a supernatural being doesn’t exist? One could also assume that one side of the moon doesn’t exist because while we are on the earth we cannot see it. Having faith that God exists is a choice, a choice to recognize God’s intricate creation and also be open to hearing from people around you that can give testimony about their miraculous experiences when they have asked for God’s help and he has restored them. I agree with Joe Bloe. ‘God’ didn’t die, he couldn’t die because he has never existed and scientifically, for ‘God’ to die he would have to have been a living person. Until I see irrefutable proof that this so-called ‘God’ did or does exist, I’ll remain a very happy Atheist.

Actually Time Magazine had a magazine cover that specifically said God Is Dead and an article that went into all the reasons they believe it is true. I don’t know what the New York TImes actually said, but TIme Magazine definitely said it emphatically.

But, he’s not. It’s just that time for this world is almost up.

I thank Scientist for exploring what God is doing to attract us to desire heaven. The Shroud, Medjugoria, Father Pio, Guadalupe, The Jesus Revival, Gallup poll reports 744 daily near-Death Experiences. (NDE). The Apparitions of Mary mother of God, it goes on and on. Not to mention A course in miracles and the Book of Heaven, both of which claim to have been dictated by Jesus to specific individuals relatively recently.
But, we were given the gift of free Will and you can freely will to believe the Earth is Flat – which many people do.
Have fun with that.
