I remember a few failed attempts to give the Lily Aldrin character a catchphrase on How I Met Your Mother. “Where’s the poop?” and “You SONOVABITCH” were both awful, and Allison Hannigan WAY oversold them. She finally got a decent one in the last season with “Thank you, Linus.”
