Especially on the heels of Pop’s death at the beginning of last season. Are they going to kill off a cast member every season? They should have re-cast Murray with Dan Luria, the father from The Wonder Years for all the points that the author of this piece mentioned. Plus Dan Luria is gruff, always in a bad mood and would have played Murray to perfection. The Goldbergs recast not only Ren and Jackie, but also the paternal grandfather, and the original Mr Kremp. I feel that their killing off Murray was vindictive due to the bad blood between Jeff Garlin and the show runners.

The first episode on Fox had a lot of jokes with the actress having something different about her. I think the final answer was that she had “done something with her hair.”

I hadn’t really watched much of the show prior, but my parents told me how they handled the network transition was very funny, and they were correct.
