They were a pretty silly band, and Lump was a pretty silly song, but people still gave Peaches a warm reception despite being even sillier (though for my money, Kick Out The Jams was the best song on that album).

Honestly, I thought “Loser” would be it for Beck because it was so quintessentially 90s, but he followed it up with Odelay, which is still one of my favorite albums with so many of my favorite songs.

Great choice! He’s a perfect example of someone who seemed gimmicky but was actually extremely talented.
