					<description><![CDATA[Dobie Gillis wasn’t a hit solely because of Dwayne Hickman. The show featured several other great characters such as Maynard G. Krebs, Mr. and Mrs. Gillis, Zelda Gilroy and Thalia Menninger.  It was one of the earliest shows to tell stories from a teenage point of view and it launched the careers of both Tuesday Weld and Warren Beaty. Simply putting Dwayne Hickman in a sitcom wouldn’t necessarily make the show as good as Dobie Gillis.]]></description>
