I think that’s why they felt that they had to soften her dismissal by having Geiger reveal that he DID respect her as a doctor.

The fact that you have Patinkin/Kelley effectively saying “there’s only room for one star and it’s me” seemed particularly rich, given the fact Lahti was one of the things keeping the show afloat!
