Today, we figure out who was the guitarist that did a solo the second time that “Daddy Cop” was played on The Rookie?
In Pop Culture Questions Answered, I answer whatever questions you folks might have about movies, TV, music or whatever (feel free to e-mail questions to me at brian@poprefs.com).
Last season on The Rookie,” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>The Rookie, the 100th episode of the series was celebrated with a return of the song, “Daddy Cop,” done by a garage band (with Zander Hawley, who wrote the song, singing lead). In the middle of this much bigger performance of the song, there was a guitar solo by a female guitarist.
A bunch of people wanted to know who she was, so I asked Hawley, and he explained that the guitar solo was by Molly Miller (here is her Instagram page). I also asked about the choir, and he noted that it was put together by Encompass Music, so I SUSPECT it wasn’t an actual choir, but just a choir that they put together for this .
Thanks a lot to Zander Hawley for the information!
